1. How can I book an appointment?

For your first visit, a personal consultation is required, which you can book by phone. During this, we will assess your hair’s condition and discuss your desired hair color. The consultation is free, but we require a HUF 20,000 deposit to book an appointment, which will be deducted from the service fee.

2. How long is the waiting time for an appointment?

Typically, for major services, there’s a 2-week wait, and these are usually scheduled for mornings. We cannot take on major services in the afternoons, as some coloring processes can take 5-6 hours. Afternoon appointments for simpler root touch-ups are booked 1-1.5 months in advance.

3. How often should roots be colored?

For root coloring, 3-6 weeks is generally recommended. After 6 weeks, it becomes difficult and much harder to achieve a light blonde. For balayage, 2-3 months is suggested, but this can vary individually.

4. How long does a bleaching session take?

It depends on the chosen technique, hair volume, and condition. However, full bleaching takes approximately 4-7 hours, balayage 5-6 hours, and root bleaching 2.5-3 hours.

5. How much does bleaching cost?

We provide a personalized quote for everyone after a personal consultation, as the price depends on the starting hair color, desired shade, hair condition, length, and in many cases, the target color cannot be achieved in a single bleaching session. Therefore, if someone wants to go blonde, they might need to factor in the cost of two or three coloring sessions. Our price list, which you can find on our website, provides general information.

6. How much time should pass between two full bleaching sessions?

Generally, lightening can be repeated after 3 weeks.

7. Is it possible to go from black hair to white blonde?

This largely depends on the dye previously applied to the hair and its condition. For example, if you’ve always dyed your entire hair length, it will be harder to lighten. A certain level of lightening can be achieved, but it’s not possible to go from black to white blonde in a short period. More time is needed for the hair length to withstand further lightening.

8. Do you bleach hair extensions?

We can only undertake lightening if the hair extensions are not attached. It’s difficult to apply the bleaching agent near the bonds, and the structure of natural hair and extensions differs, so they wouldn’t lighten evenly, leading to patchiness and hair damage.

9. What can be achieved with my hair?

When you come for a consultation, please bring photos saved on your phone. It’s important to remember that we can confidently wear a hair color that is comfortable for us and compatible with our lifestyle, not just what’s currently trending. For example, I wouldn’t recommend platinum blonde hair, which requires monthly root touch-ups, if you travel a lot and can’t schedule monthly appointments. In such cases, it’s worth considering a balayage or ombre coloring. Or, for instance, you might not feel comfortable with white blonde hair, even if everyone compliments you. 😊

10. What toning shampoo do you recommend?

For toning, we recommend Schwarzkopf BC Silver, and for whitish blonde hair, Blond Me Cool shampoo and mask. Toning shampoos only need to be used once a week, not every time you wash your hair.

11. My hair is dry and brittle, what do you recommend?

For bleached hair, conditioner alone is often not enough. I always recommend using a hair mask after washing. If you have time, leave it on for about 10 minutes under a shower cap and towel. The warmth will help the active ingredients penetrate deeper into the hair. For more damaged hair structures, I recommend our salon’s Fibreclinix treatment, which includes an excellent hair-building mask and highly effective boosters.

12. Can blonde hair be straightened/curled?

High-heat styling is very damaging to all hair types, but bleached hair is particularly sensitive. Blonde hair can burn even with a single prolonged application of a straightener. The hair dries out, its bonds break down, and it suffers irreversible damage! I recommend waving and straightening only occasionally, for special events, and performed by a professional. If you can’t style your hair yourself with a hairdryer at a medium temperature, it’s worth having it blow-dried weekly by a hairdresser, or considering a blow-dry pass. For waving and curling, I recommend hair rollers, as your hair dries naturally and isn’t damaged.

13. What should I do if my hair color fades?

Between two hair coloring appointments, you can opt for a color-refreshing toner, which takes 10 minutes for toning plus blow-drying time. How long the hair color lasts varies individually, as it depends on the frequency of washing, whether the client uses toning shampoo, and potential vacations where sunlight and seawater can dull the hair color. It also depends on weekly workouts, as sweating can cause the color to fade. Hair straightening and high-heat styling can also cause blonde hair to yellow.

14. Who will do my hair at the salon?

Our salon employs highly trained hairdressers who have been personally mentored by us. For new clients, we create a precise plan with the salon manager and color accordingly. For more complex coloring or large amounts of hair, two hairdressers will work on a client’s hair to ensure processing times are met.

15. Can I ask for the color code you use?

Our hair color codes are considered trade secrets, which we have developed and perfected over the years and adapted to various bleaching bases. In many cases, even if I were to apply the same color to the same base, the result wouldn’t be identical because everyone has a different amount of reddish pigment in their hair structure, and hair structures also vary. We almost never use just one color; we work with multiple shades.

16. Can I book an appointment via Instagram or Facebook?

Sending messages and staying in touch on social media is increasingly popular and convenient. However, unfortunately, it’s not the best way for us to provide appointments to our clients as quickly as possible. Sometimes messages don’t refresh, names aren’t identifiable, and by the time we find an available slot, another client might have booked it by phone, leading to confusion. For your first visit, we can only schedule a consultation, which is easiest and fastest to arrange by phone. We can also accept appointment bookings via Viber or SMS. Our regular clients, for example, always book their next appointment in advance, which is a convenient option for everyone.

17. Booking appointments, missed calls.

Appointments can be booked Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 7 PM. If we are unable to answer the phone during work, our receptionist will call everyone back every day from 2 PM. Thank you for your patience!

18. What happens if I cancel my appointment?

For your first booked appointment, if you cancel within 48 hours, the paid deposit will be forfeited. For existing appointments (second or subsequent visits) booked weeks in advance, if canceled within 24 hours, 50% of the canceled service fee will be charged at your next appointment.

The Blond Team! 😊
