A Hairdresser’s Journal

Where does the name ‘Blond’ come from? — have you ever felt a lightning-bolt realization of your mission, even if you weren’t yet professionally or emotionally ready for it? This happened to me 11 years ago when I was establishing myself in the world of hairdressing. I love new things because they help me grow and develop. I view problems as situations, as tasks to be solved. It’s like a real board game with exciting challenges. Was I scared? — Yes, and that’s a good thing! Because when we start to feel fear, we know we’re stepping out of our ‘comfortable little armchair’ and expanding our toolkit of abilities, venturing into exciting waters, and getting to know ourselves better through adventurous discoveries. Over the years, I’ve colored the hair of thousands of people, mostly women, who not only looked in the mirror themselves after their hairstyle was done, but also ‘held up a mirror’ for me. Through them, I could develop and gain experience, both professionally and personally…

But what is my mission? To produce thousands of blond hair colors and build a profit-oriented Blond factory?! That wasn’t what drove me. Instead, it was to help women regain their diminished self-confidence, because they were ashamed to go out in public if their desired hair color wasn’t achieved or the result wasn’t authentic to them. Why do I feel so strongly about this?
Because I’ve also sat in that salon chair, I’ve also looked in that mirror disappointed, and it’s a terrible feeling when you don’t get the result you imagined for yourself. Join me on this new adventure, where I’ll share our daily lives with you, give you a peek behind the scenes, tell you personal stories, and bring you fresh topics from the wider world.
